| Leadership and Management in Care Sevices (Level 4 NVQ) |
|
The City & Guilds level 4 NVQ in Leadership and Management for Care Services is the intended replacement for both the current City & Guilds NVQs in Registered Managers (Adults) and Residential Childcare Managers. It is aimed at managers of social care service provision and nursing staff who are responsible for the running of care homes and day care centres that provides a service for vulnerable children and adults. This includes nursing homes and facilities for older people or children, those with learning or physical disability, those with a sight or hearing impairment or those with a mental illness. Such staff will also include owner/managers. It is based on National Occupational Standards and an assessment strategy prescribed by Skills for Care and Development and will bring together the previous NVQ qualification routes for Adult Managers and for Residential Childcare Managers into a single qualification structure on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). It will enable continuity of a level 4 NVQ with a recognised currency for managers to be maintained, until such time as the qualification is reformatted to make it suitable for the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). Entry Requirements You don’t need formal qualifications to do this NVQ. The main requirement is that you are working in a suitable role and can be observed by your assessor on occasions. Does this Qualification Form Part of a Recognised Framework? This award has been accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. Cost The cost of this course is £900.
