9. How Can I Gain Funding For Courses?
Funding is available through the Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership (LWDP). The LWDP is a partnership between Lancashire County Council and over 1,000 care providers in Lancashire aimed at improving the quality of care for vulnerable people in Lancashire. The LWDP provide funding for both NVQ and basic courses. Up to £50 is given for each basic course and £100 per unit up to £600 is provided for NVQ's. Funding can be gained for up to three basic courses and one NVQ per candidate per year.

To access this funding it is necessary to be a member of the LWDP. This can be arranged by contacting the LWDP on 01772 761855. Applications for funding must then be made online. To access the online Application for Funding form click here.
