LANCASHIRE WIDE NETWORK FOR MINORITY ETHNIC WOMEN

PROJECT CO-ORDINATION OFFICER

SALARY £21,500 per annum pro rata

18.5 HOURS

Fixed Term Contract - End June 2011

Renewable subject to funding

 

The successful candidate will take a lead in developing the work of Lancashire Wide Network for Minority Ethnic Women and will be working across Lancashire from a base in Accrington. You will need to have enthusiasm, commitment, knowledge and an understanding of Black and Minority Ethnic Issues and be able to lead on initiatives to progress issues relevant to the organisation.

You must be able to work in a partnership environment and be a voice on issues impacting on BME women within the statutory and voluntary sectors with a passion to make a difference.

Good oral and written communication skills are essential; as is the ability to influence, grow and develop the organisation.

A minimum of 2 years experience of developing women's groups and BME organisations is essential.

The position is offered on a fixed term contract to 30h June 2011 and is renewable subject to further funding.
