Aintree Race Course - 21st October 2008 (9.30am-3.45pm)

Aims of the Event

 - This is a one day event aimed at helping social care providers understand what support brockerage is and how it has developed across the region.
 - To help social care providers appreciate the range of different models of support brockerage.
 - To help providers re-thinking what a user of an individualised budgets may want in order to be self directing.
 - Produce a paper from the event which captures the next steps for providers and the workforce implications for their organisations.

Key Areas to be Addressed

Setting the context of personalisation within current policy; explaining the role of support brockerage; examples of different types of brockerage.

Who Should Attend?

Voluntary, independent and private social care providers.
