Housing NVQ's Now Delivered at VOISE
VOISE has secured a contract to deliver the Housing NVQ's through the "Train to Gain" programme funded by the LSC. The awards are accredited by City & Guilds, the only awarding body offering these awards, and are based on the National Occupational Standards from Asset (Sector Skills Council for Housing). The programmes availale are at level 2 or 3 and are open to anyone who does not already have 5 GCSE's at "C" and above or their equivalent. If you are not sure what "equivalents" are please contact the VOISE office on 01772 679888. The programmes include support with Skills for Life (e.g. Literacy), any basic training courses required (e.g. Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, First Aid), the support of a mentor/assessor and any further resources when identified. The NVQ is aimed at staff (both employed and volunteering) that support young people & adults in hostels, sheltered accommodation or in supported living and is very relevant to the work settings. The funded places are only available until May 2008 and are limited. If you do not meet the criteria for this programme but we are supporting others in the workplace there is a reduced rate for the NVQ's at level 2-4. |
