Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions for service delivery

General

1)  Programmes

All vocational qualifications require the payment of the first 1/3rd of the invoice after the initial assessment and prior to the commencement of assessment. This covers the payments to the awarding organisation and is non-refundable.  The 2nd & subsequent payments are due at 3 & 6 months from commencement.  If you wish to pay the full amount at commencement please contact the office for a revised invoice. There will be a 5% reduction as from the 1st January 2010 Certificates are not released until the final payment has been received.

2)  Courses

All courses are invoiced and paid for before the course starts.

3)  Cancellations

If a programme place is cancelled due to the learners leaving employment or withdrawing from the qualification then the initial payment plus any further costs incurred for visits will be charged.  If a course place is cancelled within 14 days the fees are payable, however substitution is permissible as long as the office is notified in advance.  The responsibility for payment is with the person or company that booked the place.

Payment methods

o  VOISE welcomes all forms of payment, however payment by BACS or credit transfer are preferable. Please contact the office for details.

o  Cheques should be made payable to VOISE Ltd.

o  A
“PayPal” facility will be available for individuals in the New Year.

Funding

The office can advise on possible sources of funding.

1 ) Lancashire Workforce Development Partnership

The LWDP provide funding for both NVQ and basic courses with up to £50 available for each basic course and £110 per unit up to £600 for NVQ's. Funding can be gained for up to three basic courses and one NVQ per candidate per year. To access this funding it is necessary to be a member of the LWDP. This can be arranged by contacting the LWDP on 01772 761855. Applications for funding must then be made online; once agreed the place must be booked through the Lancashire plan system. VOISE staff will then contact the employer.
In the case of Basic courses VOISE will send a copy of the certificate to the LWDP after the course and the employer is paid directly (by LWDP) via BACS. Once the payments have been received by VOISE the original certificate is released to the employer.
In the case of NVQ’s VOISE will send the completed Unit Summary Sheets (USS) through to LWDP and mark unit completions on the Lancashire plan system. LWDP will pay the employer on receipt of the USS (via BACS).

2) Train to Gain

If the learner is eligible for this funding and a place is available at the initial assessment stage, the learner will be funded through this system. The employer does not receive an invoice and there is no costs incurred by them. Additional LWDP funding cannot be accessed for these Learners.

3) Collaborative Arrangements

VOISE has arrangements for some specific schemes with partners. The collaborative funding gained is passed onto the employer in the form of a grant to cover the final payment. This does not preclude accessing LWDP funding.

4) Other

VOISE is continually looking for ways of supporting employers and individuals. If any funding is available the assessor will inform the employer or individual.
In all cases where additional funding is drawn down there is additional paperwork required, this process will be supported by VOISE staff but it does in most cases require employers to be actively involved.
